How Do I Know if I Should Consider Bankruptcy?

The question many people ask themselves is when should I consider filing for bankruptcy? If you are reading this article, the answer is that you probably need to consider bankruptcy as an option right now.  Many people wait far too long to file bankruptcy and instead spend down their retirement accounts, watch their credit score decline, put up with creditor harassment and/or let stress levels go through roof as they struggle to survive.  Or, you got into one of those "miracle" debt consolidations wherein you now owe more debt, are getting sued or your credit score is so low you never thought it could go that low.

Did you know you are eligible to buy a home just two (2) years after a Chapter 7 discharge or just one (1) year in a Chapter 13 (if you make your plan payments on-time)?  If you are unable pay your bills and/or pay off your debt, it does not hurt to speak with a bankruptcy attorney to get an idea of how your life would look with no debt.  The time to consider bankruptcy is probably right now!
